About Us

Formed in November 2013, the Glenwood South Neighborhood Collaborative’s goals are to bring residents and merchants together to strengthen our community and to develop models for communication and collaboration around issues affecting our neighborhood.

Organization: A board elected by the membership and consisting of resident, merchant and partner organization representatives meets monthly to administer collaborative projects and initiatives.   Neighborhood meetings are held quarterly and membership is open to all property owners and tenants within the neighborhood boundaries.

Partner Organizations

  • Downtown Raleigh Alliance: The DRA is an award-winning nonprofit organization whose mission is to continue the revitalization of Raleigh’s downtown by enhancing its quality of life and contributing to its economic success.
  • Downtown Living Advocates: The DLA is a citizen group, providing an organized voice for downtown residents. Their mission is to play an active role in helping Raleigh’s downtown neighborhoods be the most livable and attractive they can be.
  • Shop Local Raleigh: Part of the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association, a non-profit organization whose mission is all about promoting and supporting locally-owned, independent businesses.
